We did a few rounds there last season. It's good fun, and there's a great variety of cars too.

My only criticisms were that they didn't tend to penalise people for hitting cones, which meant that the course got a lot straighter as the night went on. And they weren't watering the track, so it got very swept by the last run. Road tyres were definitely the go for the last two runs.

Top three were 2wd, non turbo. While I'd like to suggest that our hyundai is faster than all the turbo 4wd cars, we were quick because our runs were right at the end of the night. The long swept corners completely destroyed the outside tyres too.

But yeah, good fun, we'll probably do a few of them this summer.

Entry fee was pretty steep from memory, especially seeing as you only get 1 practice run, 2 race runs and the final...

Your Pulsar would be pretty decent out there - it's not exactly short on power.

Just to set the record straight, the hyundai is not faster than one particular 4wd turbo car (I was going to say a Mazda, but since the bodywork is handcrafted you may not recognize it)!

The autocross is quite a nice event, the only chance I had to get into 3rd gear actually! If big concrete barriers don't scare you than give it a go!
