BORMSA Autocross Results - Sunday 28 September 2014

Checks have been done and final results for the Autocross on Sunday 28 September are now available. With only a bit of rain the day before, the track held up well and we had great conditions for racing all day, with 6 runs in total for the field of 20 entries. Congratulations to Andrew, who after several years away from BORMSA maintained a consistent fast pace in the 2WD Impreza to take the win and $75 BORMSA voucher in a time of 11:56.57. Duncan Leighton won a close battle for second place in his Escort, whilst Stephen Wade was unlucky with his Test 1 DNF blemishing an otherwise strong run. Tim Ralli had another good points scoring finish and looks to be in a healthy position in the BORMSA Club Championship leading into the last event of the year (a full list of points will be published prior to entries opening).

Many thanks to Rob for his countless recovery efforts; it seems the good conditions inspired everyone to try that extra bit harder! The award for most spectacular driving goes to Annabel, with the truck tyre casualty tally exceeding 4! We look forward to seeing you again at the Junior Motorkhana & Twilight Khanacross on Saturday 25 October. Thomas Mayes was the lucky winner of the raffle prize of all competitors and officials and takes home a $75 BORMSA voucher.

Thanks also to David, Ash, Tyne and Neal for their help throughout the day and to Rob & Cam who headed out on the tractors to tidy up the track once the racing finished. If anyone is available to help out as Clerk of Course, Secretary, Scrutineer or Timekeeper at the next event, please send an email to president@bormsa.asn.au. If you have any good photos from the event, feel free to post them on the BORMSA Group on Facebook.
