Potential for Event Cancellation Due to Fire Risk

Due to recent hot weather in Beverley, the BORMSA Motorplex is very dry and poses a high fire risk.  The current Beverley forecast for the event weekend is 36degC and windy; it would be unsafe to run in these conditions.   We will monitor the forecast throughout the week and will confirm on THURSDAY morning if the events can go ahead via email/website/calls to entries.  Whilst it is incredibly disappointing that we may need to end the season like this, we cannot place lives and homes at risk in the Beverley Shire.

Unfortunately yesterday's rain in Perth did not improve the situation at the track. For interest, the average temperature in Beverley in October is normally 24 degc with 24mm of rain. This month has seen only 2.4mm of rain.
