SAturday racing

I was just wondering if there was any reason why the calendar format is the way it is. I mean If im right the 2 twilight meets are on saturdays and the other rounds are on sunday. IS there any reason for this. Personally id prefer to race on saturdays but i dont know if anyone else thinks that way.

Racing until 10pm on Sunday night would mean you'd be getting home pretty late for work on Monday.

As for normal daytime events being on saturdays, it's sort of tradition I suppose. Personally, we normally need Saturdays to get the car ready. Our car was still in a few hundred bits at 3pm on Saturday arvo.

Why do we leave our cars to the night before to get em ready. I understand why twilights are on saturdays. I just reckon it would be great if we could go up saturday and race. Then camp over and maybe even do some track work the next day!!!

Yeah a two day event would be pretty epic. Problem is, we'd all want to get on the sauce overnight - and I can't imagine CAMS insuring us the next day... :)

It would be encouraged that we have a great night.... Be the best part. My hundi would look great in the light of a bonfire. Ill give you an example. Power boat racers in the avon descent have to be breathalised prior to the start of the second day. Just have to do the same thing for us hey!!! Beverley constabulary can help with that. Or the club can invest in one. can be a job for the scutineering second day. Driver has to go over the pits instead of the car!!!!! Whats the rules on us camping at the BORMSA Track???

A 2 day event would be ausome. See who's cars can actually last. What about an endurance type event that's twice the length?? Combine a day khanacross with a twighlight????
