We'll be out there tomorrow morning to take delivery of a couple of seatainers.
No doubt there will be some more track rolling and dragging in preparation for Sunday. A couple of weeks ago I was out there and the bottom tracks could hardly be seen.
We could develop an amphibious class perhaps? Either that or take up mud-bogging runs for the winter season.
I can't see anything wrong with leaving Excels bogged! You can always chip them out in summer when everything dries up. Treat them like a tractor tyre - 5 second time penalty every time you hit one.
There are certainly plenty more of them around.... and who wants to get dirty trying to hook the rope up.
It will only take a few more comments like that to get me to campaign the old silver 1.8 Astra next year!
I have honestly been trying to kill the old green excel for a couple of rounds, but all I can manage is to add more mud and keep bending the sump guard!
It did make top 5 (if you count BORMSA members only - which is what I do) It makes me feel a whole lot better.
Incidentally, why didn't Rob Parrish appear anywhere in the results??? Anyone?
Guys, I thought I'd drop a line to let you know I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the Aug 30 meet & promise I will be back with my car as soon as I can. It was a well organised & run event by a decent bunch of people!! Cheers for the tour Smithy!!
Spoke to Wavey earlier this
Spoke to Wavey earlier this morning, and it's looking like a bumper field!
Doubtful whether the bottom tracks will be usable, but we'll try.
Can't wait!

I'll get a tow rope, just in case any of the Excels need to be towed out of the mud!

Quiz. a, b or c?
a. Well, we weren't expecting him to get past the first few stages.
b. We're protesting - until he relocates the oil cooler, we're not going to time him.
c. He was on a CAMS license that didn't include timed events.
